Okay, so yesterday I totally missed Free Comic Book Day. I know, it sucks but instead I went to Downtown Disney with my boyfriend Wes.

But it was a nice time, we got these awesome tasting sherbet. We needed it, cause it was hot as hell!

We shopped around and got really cute Ewok keychain.

 

He's totally soft and just adorable to look at. 

Also during to night we went to PoP gallery just to see what they added into the store. They were blasting the Cantina Band which really added into the Star Wars feel. During the night there was an artist there who was really fun to talk too. He does the art work for Terribly Odd. Guys, he was really nice and I'm planning to get his Haunted Mansion or Princess Bride painting. We had the best talk about Megacon, Regular Show, Iron Man, Kevin Smith, Star Wars, Haunted Mansion, and Cult films.

 

Well I hope everybody had an awesome 4th!

4/13 Homestuck!

For many of my readers know I'm a fan of the web series "Homestuck", and this year my friends and I went to our first Homestuck meet. This meet up was held behind Cirque Du Soleil at Downtown Disney. It was something out of the norm for me. But once we got there a girl dress up like Hussie dash infront of us start to sing. It was kinda annoying and we all avoid eye contact with her after she finish her song.

Most of the people were pretty young, but really friendly to all the came for the event. There was so much food and Faygo. Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of the soda but hey then again it's FREE!

It was pretty slow at the start, so we started our photo shoot with Transient Shots which the picks look great! :D And the girls that did the Trolls looked awesome!

Yani left after a bit because she had to be her hair done and it looks so nice! So it was just Mandi, Justine, I and we left the meet and go walk around Downtown Disney. Believe it, the weather got really hot and we remove the wigs and continue our walk around. Justine left and after 30 minutes, Mandi and I met up with our friend Jasmine and her friends.

We talk for a bit and then after a while we left and headed to the mall.

So all and all it was an okay meet and who knows we might return to the next meet.

 

My Little Pony Mondays---Episode 9

Makeup time: Chalk Dye

Okay everybody I'm back from my little mental hiatus for a new makeup time.

Today's makeup time spotlight is focus on 'Chalk Dye' your hair. 

First thing, it's not bad for your hair, believe me I'm really finicky with chemicals and products going into my hair. 

But when I discover this chalk shopping with my boyfriend I wanted to learn more about it. 

And boy, it's the easier thing to do with your hair. 

Things you're gonna need:
Rubber gloves (it's gonna get messy)
An old towel
Soft pastel chalk (Artist's Loft is the best)
Flat iron
A small spray with water.

Step 1) Section off a small portion of hair and lightly soak the hair as high as you want the color to be at.

Step 2)Twist the section of your hair and rub that chalk into the hair until the chalk slowly disintegrate into your glove and section. You have to be careful with the color you pick for hair. 

Step 3) You have to let your hair air dry, believe I hate waiting.

Step 4)Now you have to set the colors in your hair, so you have to flat iron your hair and bam your done!

Quick warnings: 

• If you are a blonde the chalk dying might be semi-permanent  
• DON'T BUY OIL PASTELS! (it will be sticky and a pain in the ass to remove off your hair)

If you haven't seen this little gem, hurry up and watch it. At first, I was kinda iffy about watching it since I heard it was a chick flick. I'm kinda like a guy when it comes to these types of girly girl movies. But man, I was totally wrong!

Spotlight on: Cafe Peko Peko

 

 This spotlight is pointed on a small group of maids and bulters entertaining the masses of con goers with their upbeat and cute cafes.They're an Orlando based maid cafe, and if you are in the area you should totally check them out. :D

They were founded in June 2011 by maids Aki and Kisa. And slowly the group started to build up. Now you're asking yourself, what is a maid cafes?

"They  are a subcategory of cosplay restaurants found predominantly in Japan. In these cafés, waitresses dressed in maid costumes act as servants, and treat customers as masters (and mistresses) in a private home, rather than as café patrons."

Believe me, its a fun time once you enter the room. They have dances, sweets, games, and so on. The group will always have you on your toes and clapping like there's no tomorrow.
